Set Maximum Available Quantity On Ecomdash

In this article, we will teach you how to show different inventory quantities setting the Maximum available quantity on Ecomdash.

Ecomdash facilitates you to show a different quantity on your storefront than what you have in your quantity on hand field. When you will set the Max Available Quantity, ecomdash will send the lower one between Max Available Quantity and Quantity on Hand to your storefront. If you set Max Available Quantity to 15 and your quantity on Hand is 30, ecomdash will sync it to 15. If your Max Available Quantity is 15 and your quantity on Hand is 10, ecomdash will sync it to 10.

To set Max Available Quantity to go to Products and click on All Products.

Click on Actions and View.

You will be taken to the Product Details page. Click on Manage Listings.

Click on Channel Settings.

By default, the Max Available Quantity is always 999 for every product and sales channel.

Set the maximum available quantity.

This will always send quantity not more than 10 on the eBay channel. For this item, the available quantity is 20. Quantity on Hand always shows the true quantity of inventory exactly you have in your stock. As we have set the maximum available quantity 10, Ecomdash will send quantity 10 on eBay. If the true quantity of this product is less than 10 then Ecomdash will send that quantity on eBay storefront.

There is another option “Always Use Max Available Quantity”, you can also select it. This will always send the quantity you set as the maximum available quantity without considering your Quantity on Hand or your True quantity.

Note: As we have enabled “Always Use Max Available Quantity” then it will always send 10 to eBay. If this item stocks out, still it will send 10. That can cause overselling. So stay alert about this behavior when you enable “Always Use Max Available Quantity”.
