How to to Import Variation Products on Linnworks

In this article, we will show the complete process, how to import parent and child products on Linnworks with all the steps.

Linnworks is one of the most popular cloud-based inventory management systems. Linnworks works hard to simplify your eCommerce business. It features deep shipping, listing management and order management capabilities along with standard inventory management functions. By using linnworks you can manage everything on your eCommerce business.

For any marketplace, the most introductory and most critical factor is PRODUCT LISTING. We can easily list products via linnworks. Before listing items we need to import products on linnworks. 

Today in this documentation we will discuss how we can import variation products on linnworks.

Importing Variation Product on Linnworks

Importing Variation Groups is a common use for Inventory Imports. This is very easy, you just follow the below steps. 

Step 1: Preparing the CSV File-

When creating Variation Groups by CSV upload, the SKUs should be added to them at the same time. The following columns are required when creating and populating variation groups.

• SKU – Unique identifier to reference this item in Linnworks.

• Is Variation Group – Enter Yes if the SKU is to be a Variation group instead of a normal Linnworks SKU.

• Variation Group Name – If the item is the parent SKU of a variation group, this is the name given to the group as a whole.

• Variation SKU – This is the Parent SKU that the Child SKUs will belong to.

Step 2: After complete preparing the CSV file with all proper information we need to import the file on linnworks. Once logged into your linnworks account, you can see that on the left side of the screen linnworks features are grouped into categories that you can use. Click “Import Data” from “SETTINGS”.

Step 3: After clicking Import Data this will take you to the import page. Click on “Import Now”.

Now choose a name for the import and choose the category as Inventory Import.

Click on Next. Then choose your prepared file and click on Next.

Now this is the final part, we need to map our columns with linnworks columns. Map the columns here.

Now click on Run Now. Your product will import on Linnworks now.

If everything is alright then this will show a message as Success and if there any problem it will show as Error. And if there is any error then we need to fix it and re-upload it as the same procedure.
